Description:

Broadband communication networks. Analogue and digital networks, cable television systems (CATV). Architecture of cable networks, available bandwidth, performance and reliability, quality of service. Modernization of CATV systems, use of hybrid-fibre-coax (HFC) networks. Introduction of new services. Two-way transmission, reverse channel analysis, interactive multimedia services over CATV network, cable modems.
